Neptune Diner, a cherished New York institution since 1984, began its journey in Astoria where it served as a beloved 24/7 community hub for four decades. Known for its classic diner fare, hearty Greek specialties, and timeless booths filled with late-night regulars and even the occasional celebrity, it became more than just a restaurant — it was part of the neighborhood’s fabric. Although the original location closed in July 2024 due to redevelopment, the spirit of Neptune Diner lives on through its new chapters in Bayside and Syosset.
The Bayside location, opened in 2020 on Bell Boulevard, brought the brand to eastern Queens with a refreshed look and a modernized menu, drawing loyal patrons and new locals alike. Most recently, in March 2025, Neptune expanded to Syosset, Long Island, revitalizing the former Celebrity Diner with a bright, spacious, and accessible interior. The new Syosset spot blends retro charm with contemporary comfort, serving the same comforting breakfast platters, burgers, and Greek favorites that built Neptune’s reputation. Together, these locations continue the Neptune legacy, offering warm hospitality and reliable comfort food across generations.
